I am a Registered Psychologist in Alberta. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology.  I have over 14 years of experience working in a variety of mental health and social settings with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Indigenous clients. I am skilled at providing individual therapy for adolescents and adults.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and individualistic, where I utilize CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), EMDR(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Solution Focused methods in my practice.  I provide a safe environment in which clients can explore their beliefs and thoughts, and help provide support in setting realistic goals. I respect and acknowledge the client’s existing abilities and support them as they use their skills to realize change and improve their lives.

My approach has been described as empathetic and compassionate in nature, as well as insightful into current challenges the client struggles with.

I am able to provide individual therapy for depression, anxiety, substance abuse/addiction, family of origin issues, anger management, improving communication, self-esteem, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and trauma, relationship concerns, the impact of colonization and residential schools, and intergenerational trauma.

I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from the University of Calgary and David Burns.  I have training in Prolonged Exposure and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for PTSD and experience with Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, as well as Solution Focused Therapy. I have training and experience working with Indigenous individuals and communities.
